Lake Mburo National Park - This Park 371 Sq.Km located in Mbarara western Uganda. This Park is the second smallest in Uganda after Mgahinga. The 6 lakes including Lake Mburo within the Park are all interconnected by swamps and are home to:

• 68 different mammal species and sitatunga, hippos, nile crocodiles and fish. It also offers a gigantic eland antelope species, zebra, topi and impala
• 313 differnt species of birds including the rare African Finfoot and Uganda's national emblem the Crested Crane
• The extensive acacia woodland has markedly different fauna to other parks and reserves

Much of the park can be accessed on land by game drive tracks, nature walks around swamps and animal salt licks, or by boat on water.
