Mt Elgon National Park - Is located in Mbale, Kapchorwa and Sironko districts on the eastern border of Kenya. Its spectacular scenery is the main attraction for hikers, but there is also a variety of forest monkeys and small antelopes. It's home to over 300 bird species including the endangered Lammergeier and the African Goshawk. Other attractions to this 1145 Sq.Km Park include cliffs, waterfalls-SIPI FALLS being the most conspicuous among them all, gorges, mesas, calderas and hot springs. The Park is synonymous with the large caves where elephants and buffalos come to lick the natural salt on the cave walls.
